Smart Business Choices stores personal information electronically and on paper-based files. We have taken necessary steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, misuse or disclosure. Access to our electronic files and database are only available to our staff, MSP Photography Pty Ltd and the IT consultant contracted by us.

All staff members must sign a Deed of Confidentiality, agreeing not to disclose any information of a personal or confidential nature to any person outside of the company.

The internet can never be a guaranteed safe method of transmitting or storing information. Should a breach of our database, files or server occur, you acknowledge that we will not be held liable.

How do you access your personal information held by us?

We will ensure you have a right to seek access to information held about you and to correct it if it is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or not up-to-date. Requests to view information held should be made to the business manager. Proof of identity will be required before access is provided. Information will be provided verbally (over the phone), viewing on screen or via printout.

Your information will be shared with the photography provider regarding your booking and possibly with employees of the school the booking was made at.

How do we ensure child protection and security?

It is essential and forefront in our business ethics and principals to take child safety and protection very seriously. To this end, the company may request sensitive information that is necessary to protect the identity of a child at risk of harm.

We will request that you provide the name of children who are subject to a current order where a court has rules that the child is to have zero contact with a particular parent or relative, and that parent or relative is to have no knowledge of the details of the child at risk (an example being a child involved with witness protection). We do not require any details of the situation or any other information in relation to the child except the name. We will not release any images of the child to any person except the school administrators, who can then distribute the images to the appropriate guardian.
